Plan the entire transaction
Discovery reviews product data, variants, inventory, checkout, payment processing, order handling, and required integrations. Frontend design considers browsing and purchase tasks across devices; backend development connects the agreed data and business rules. Payment-provider capabilities and permissions are reviewed before integration.
The existing commercial model
Development is $1,999.99 upfront plus a 5% qualifying transaction royalty. Three revision iterations are included. Additional major revision iterations are $199 each. Custom functionality can be scoped as paid upgrades, and corrections needed to fulfill the original agreed scope are included.
How qualifying transaction value is calculated
Exclude applicable sales taxes and shipping charges from the transaction and deduct applicable payment-processing fees. Apply 5% to the resulting qualifying transaction amount. The applicable e-commerce agreement defines qualifying transactions and settlement procedures.
A maximum monthly royalty
The maximum KORDEXA royalty is $3,000 per calendar month. This is a cap on royalties, not a $3,000 sales threshold. Once reached, no additional royalty is due for qualifying transactions during the remainder of that month. Calculation resets the following calendar month. Royalties are non-refundable once earned and paid.
Scope, validation, and launch
Catalog structure, checkout behavior, integrations, data migration, and custom order functions affect scope. Development proceeds through architecture, interface design, engineering, validation, and deployment. Validation reviews payment and order paths within the agreed scope. Ongoing support is separately contracted.
Start with products and operations
Describe the products, how customers buy them, the tools that process orders, and any existing store. Identify the needed payment and shipping integrations without including credentials. Review the pricing model and draft agreement before the final project agreement is established.
Project questions
Does the royalty cap reset each month?
Yes. The maximum is $3,000 in royalties per calendar month, and calculation resets at the beginning of the next month.
Does the upfront fee replace the royalty?
No. The existing model includes both the $1,999.99 upfront development fee and the 5% qualifying transaction royalty, subject to its monthly cap.
